The Social Studies Department annually presents awards for superlative effort in the studies of
U.S. History, Global Studies, Economics and American Government.
The Globe Award goes to a male and female 9th grader enrolled in the year-long Global Studies class. These students have been selected by their teachers based on their excellent performance in Global Studies.

Finally, it has long been a tradition to present the Churchill Cup as the highest award from the Social Studies Department. To be eligible for this award, a student must be a senior who has taken four full years of Social Studies (including higher level courses like AP & IB) while maintaining an A in all these classes.
