The Business and Marketing Departments recognizes students who show superior skills in the areas of Marketing & Business.

Kimberly Marfo and Blake Davis​ are our 2020 marketing education co-recipients of the Warren Buffett Award ​for outstanding leadership and philanthropy in MARKETING EDUCATION.

​

Kimberly Marfo is a two year DECA officer and Chapter President in for the 2019-2020 school year. She was the liason to all of our chapter’s community outreach. Championed the “microaggression in the workplace” project with key executives from AT&T. As a competitor Kim was a three time state qualifier and two time state finalist.

Blake Davis is a two year DECA officer and Chapter President for the 2019-2020 school year. He was elected to the state officer board in 2019, becoming Smoky Hill’s first state officer in more than a decade. As a competitor, Blake was a three time state qualifier and a state finalist in 2020. He represented Smoky Hill wonderfully on the State Officer team. 

 

Miller Vu​ is the 2020 Business Education Student of the Year.

Miller has excelled in the classroom as well as in competition. Miller is a three time DECA state qualifier and two time State Finalist. Miller was set to represent Smoky Hill at Nationals for the second time this year where always placed well. In the class Miller has stood out from his contemporaries with his Business knowledge, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
